Prayer for Intimacy with God
We are created in God’s image according to Gen 1:27. We were created for communion exclusively between us and Him. We were created like Him to communicate with Him intimately. This was our purpose from the beginning, This relationship was greatly damaged at the fall, but the good news is that Yeshua ha Mashiach (Christ Jesus) came to restore this again and now that we are in Christ, we are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17). The old has past, and we have become new.
Understand beloved that we are spiritual beings firstly, living in a human body with a mind and soul. When the spirit becomes born again through Yeshua, we can communicate one-on-one again because we have Ruach (Holy Spirit) We are now joined with the Lord and once again one with Him in spirit. Because He has made it possible to communicate with our inner man, there is no reason for us not to hear his voice clearly today. The only barrier might be a language barrier, but Ruach is so patiently teaching us and acts as a great translator. Beloved even when we don’t fully understand the language of the Spirit, all we need to do is yield to Him. He also prays for us and helps us to speak and pray. How incredible that the King of the universe chose you and I today and longs for us to have intimate communion with Him.
Decide to seek Him today with your whole heart and to lock your eyes on Him
LETS PRAY
Heavenly Father, I come before You in Yeshua’ mighty name. Abba, I love You so much. Thank You for saving me and making me Your own. Abba, I know that You love me too and that you believed in me and fought for me. Abba, I ask in Yeshua’ name that You would fan the flames for a deeper, more passionate love for You that exceeds every love I’ve ever had before. Consume me with love for You. Help me to receive Your love, also; to feel it and sense it; to eat it and drink it; to breathe it and smell it. Help me to marinate in Your love all day, every day in the love of you.
Help me to honour You and adore You with my words, thoughts, heart, and actions. Thank you that according to Romans 8 you call me your adopted son, no longer a slave to fear and that I can enter boldly into your throne room. What an honour and privilege. Lord please bring to light and remove any barrier between you and I.
Help me to abide in You always the way You ask me to. Lord Yeshua, I ask also that You would help me to encounter You in ways I expect and in ways I don’t expect. Help me to go aside in the day and just be with You. When You woo me unexpectedly, help me to answer You. Help me to come away with You every time. Help me to realize that it’s You, calling me, that You are wooing me, and that it’s not something I made up. And Lord, when I answer Your call to draw away with You, please help me to encounter You with power every time.
Help me to receive everything You have for me. Help me to hear Your voice, feel Your kisses and Your embrace, and see Your face. You promised that if I love you, You, would manifest Yourself to me.
So, I claim that promise in Yeshua’ name. I love You, Abba. I love You, Yeshua. I love You, Ruach. Please shower me with every blessing of the bride today and draw me closer to You than I have ever been. Thank You. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer. Keep me forever in Your bosom. In the Mighty name of Yeshua. Amen
