We might not like our leadership, but recognizing that they were ordained by God, we can choose to respect them regardless and intercede for them daily because they desperately need our prayers. We also need to know our divine purpose in partnering with the Lord in prayer. Recognizing where he has placed you and when. Yes, you are born for such a time as this.

There is also a blessing attached to praying for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem as a sign to the world. When we bless rather than curse the Jewish people, we are engaged with God’s plan for world redemption. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is, in reality, praying for Yeshua to return, as the penultimate peace we long for, it will only come when He takes His rightful throne in Jerusalem and reigns forever. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is a way of asking God to implant His peace in the hearts of both Jews and Gentiles by personally accepting the Prince of Peace as Lord of their lives…now! May they prosper who love you.

LET’S PRAY
Lord, I come before You and I lift up our President, Vice President and all in his cabinet before You. I pray for our ministers, court justices and military leaders. I ask, Lord that you bless them with Your wisdom, lead them by Your Ruach Haccodesh (Holy Spirit), giving them Your strength and Your desire to help those who have no advocates. Direct them to do what is right and just in Your eyes that this land might be blessed with sound leadership.
I ask You to shine Your glorious light into the dark places and remove dishonest officials striving to fulfill their own desires instead of the good of the people they serve. Lord bless them by turning each one of them from their wicked ways according to Acts 3:26. Reveal their secrets and expose their wickedness so they might be convicted and corrected and help those who remain to be great servants to the people of our country.

Help me to observe the laws willingly and cheerfully, upholding, respecting and appreciating the leaders and law enforcement agencies who carry out these laws – that I might lead a tranquil, peaceful life in Yeshua’s name. I will give to the government what is due it and I will give to You what is Yours, Father God. I submit to those in authority so I can live a peaceable life. I trust in You Lord because justice comes from you alone as the One who puts down one, and exalts another (Psalm 75:7). I recognize that by You, kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By You princes rule and nobles, all the judges of the earth, according to Proverbs 8:15.

Lord we ask for your forgiveness and mercy over our nation because there is no authority apart from You. Lord we ask that You take control. Let Your justice, truth and integrity reign on our leaders – that they may be Godly men and women seeking to serve You first. Lord I ask that You put spiritual bits in their mouths in obedience to Kingdom principles and ruler-ship, according to James 3:3 so that there will be sound judgment and Godly wisdom throughout our justice system and halls of government at every level. Lord, arrest their souls to come to a place of salvation and knowing You.

Lord give me the strength and grace to honor and support Your chosen nation, Israel. I now pray for her leaders, her people and her awakening to You as the one true Messiah. I stand with my natural brothers and sisters, the Jewish people – “the sands of the seashore” – as your supernatural child – “the stars of the sky.” I bless them and honor them, openly declaring Your love for them and the Nation of Israel and I also pray for their salvation, especially the Jews I encounter every day. In the mighty name of Yeshua Hammasiach (Christ Jesus), Amen.
