SMOKING – DO YOU THINK IT’S OKAY FOR A CHRISTIAN TO SMOKE?
This question has been asked many times by people – is it a sin for a Christian to smoke? In the Spiritual Realm, when a person smokes, a spirit called Molog and Spirit of death is in control of your life. These demons have legal right to bring death in finances and death in your body. This means that you open yourself for sicknesses and attacks on every area of your life.
1 Corinthian 3:17 “If anyone destroys Gods temple, God will destroy Him, for God’s temple is Holy and you are the Temple”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach Hakodesh, who is in you, whom you have rom God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.
Every time you light up a cigarette you should ask yourself if the Holy Spirit will feel welcome in your body? Will you be able to go into prayer, and bow before the King of Kings who freely gave you His Kingdom to share with a breath and lungs filled with smoke? If He does not feel welcome, He will be far and you may experience feelings of abandonment, feeling of despair and feelings of depression. You may even experience disconnection with God and struggle to read bible or pray.
If you look at the picture of a dragon, you will see smoke coming from its nostrils and mouth. That is also what Satan looks like, and when we smoke we are also transformed into that image. But the word of God says, that we should be transformed into God’s image, and not satan.
Hebrews 10:26 “For if we keep on sinning wilfully, after we have received the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin.”
Galatians 6:7 and 8 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for what ever a man sows, that he also shall reap. For the one who sows in the flesh, will reap corruption from the flesh but one who sows in the spirit will reap from the spirit eternal life.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Yeshua Massiah.”
Some people are going to make excuses. They will literately search the web to find out if smoking is a sin, then when they find out it is a sin, they will make excuses, saying there are many other sins out there that are wrong and yet they happen. No one is denying that – but pointing out another sin doesn’t make smoking any less sinful or spiritually and physically harmful to you spirit and body.
1 Jon 5:18 “Now that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning, rather the one born of God, keeps him safe, the evil one cannot touch him”
When we sin, like smoking, we give the enemy legal right over our lives, our family and our bodies and to destroy us and attack us. Let us bring into the light today, all that is sinful and ask Father God to forgive us for that sin and to help us not to fall back on sinful behaviour. He is faithful to forgive and He is ready to bless you. Step away from that addiction and ask someone to pray with you. God loves you so much that He gave His only Son to be brutally beaten unto death so that you can get everlasting life. Let us not throw that back in God’s face. First seek the Lord and all His righteousness, and all will be added to you. Take His hand and His forgiveness today and be obedient so we can step into His blessings and into everlasting Life.
CHOOSE LIFE OR DEATH, THE CHOICE IS YOURS. Deuteronomy 28
God bless.
